Kindergarten Room (4 – 5 years)
In this room we offer an integrated kindergarten program which prepares your child for school in a non-pressured, fun environment. The program includes:

• Confidence building, by encouraging the children to speak in front of the group about something they are interested in or a special event.
• Helping children to make their own story books and extending their language development by encouraging them to talk about their drawings.
• Inclusion of dramatic arts e.g. creative movement, percussion instruments.
• Extend environmental awareness with further knowledge and implementation of a variety of nature and science programs e.g. life cycle of insects & plants.
• Programming of outdoor area in line with children’s skills and development, such as climbing frames, ball activities, planting vegetables.
• Encouraging children to use their own words in social and conflict situations to help build confidence and independence in speaking about their needs.
• Encouraging the use of creativity, imagination and problem solving skills by using children’s ideas and designs to create things e.g. cubby house.
• Involvement in activities and reading books about people in the community  such as doctors and teachers.
